About People Skills Wales

We're a Welsh training company focused on the human skills that make workplaces work: how people communicate, handle pressure, work through conflict and support each other.

Most workplace problems are people problems. So are most solutions.

Systems, processes and strategy matter. But day to day, what decides whether a team works well is far more human: whether people say what they mean, listen properly, handle pressure without snapping, raise problems early and disagree without falling out.

Those skills aren't fixed traits that some people have and others don't. They can be learned and practised, and when a whole team builds them together, the difference shows up everywhere: in fewer misunderstandings, calmer responses to difficult situations and conversations that happen when they need to, rather than months too late.

People Skills Wales exists to make that kind of training practical, relevant and accessible to organisations across Wales, whether they employ ten people or ten thousand.

Our approach

Practical over theoretical

Theory earns its place only when it helps people act differently. Most of our time goes on practice.

Tailored, not off the shelf

Every organisation is different. We listen first and adapt to what we hear.

Live and participative

People learn people skills with other people. Every session is live, in the room or online.

Safe to try things

People learn best when they feel able to have a go and get it wrong. We keep sessions respectful and supportive.

Why organisations choose us

Practical from the first minute

Less theory, more practice. Sessions are built around real situations and give people techniques they can use the next working day.

Built around your organisation

We talk to you first, then adapt examples, scenarios and emphasis to your sector, your teams and your challenges.

Always live, always trainer-led

In the room or online, every session is run live by a trainer who can respond to your group. No pre-recorded modules.

Delivered anywhere in Wales

On site from Anglesey to Monmouthshire, or online for teams spread across several locations.

Plain English, no jargon

Ideas explained clearly, so everyone from frontline staff to directors gets value from the same session.

Small groups, real participation

Sessions are designed so everyone takes part, not just the most confident voices in the room.

Rooted in Wales

We're a Welsh company working with Welsh organisations. We understand the landscape: the size of the public and third sectors, the distances between communities, the mix of large employers and small family businesses, and the importance of the Welsh language to many workplaces.

That's why we deliver in-house anywhere in Wales and online for dispersed teams, and why we're always happy to talk about how training can reflect your organisation's commitments, including bilingual working.
