  1. Self-awarenessRecognising what you're feeling, why, and how it affects what you do.
  2. Social awarenessReading other people's feelings and perspectives accurately.
  3. Self-managementChoosing your response instead of reacting on autopilot.
  4. Relationship managementUsing that awareness to communicate, influence and resolve conflict.

Overview

Emotional intelligence is the ability to notice and manage emotions, both your own and other people's, and to use that awareness to guide how you act. It shapes how people handle pressure, give feedback, resolve disagreements and build trust.

This course makes emotional intelligence practical. Participants work on noticing what's happening for them in the moment, reading others more accurately, and choosing responses rather than reacting on autopilot. It's grounded in everyday workplace situations rather than theory.

What changes back at work

The real test of training is what people do differently on an ordinary day. Here's what emotional intelligence looks like in practice.

A frustrating email arrives

The reply is calm and clear, written after a pause.

A colleague goes quiet

Someone notices and checks in privately.

A meeting gets tense

The manager names the tension and steers the discussion back on track.
